NBA Basketball School La Nucía has taken the first step in its new project with the staging of its tryouts at Pabellón Muixara. The three scheduled sessions brought together more than 150 players from different parts of Spain, who experienced a genuine evaluation process within a structured training environment. The coaching staff assessed areas such as individual technical ability, understanding of the game, coordination, physical capacity and competitive attitude.

“La Nucía, Ciudad del Deporte” has been chosen by NBA Basketball School as its national headquarters, further strengthening the municipality’s position as a leading destination for sport and player development, while offering a unique opportunity to young boys and girls seeking to improve, compete and develop through a methodology focused on all-round growth.
During the sessions, Bernabé Cano, Mayor of La Nucía, visited Pabellón Muixara to see first-hand how the player recruitment training sessions were progressing. He was accompanied by Miguel Ángel Lago, project manager of NBA Basketball School, and José Antonio Sánchez, who serves as director.
Now that the tryouts have concluded, families can apply for a place in the most suitable programme based on the assessment carried out by the coaching staff. NBA Basketball School La Nucía offers two pathways within its annual programme: the Elite Programme, designed for players seeking a more demanding environment, specific physical preparation and competition, and the School Programme, aimed at boys and girls who want to improve their level in a structured development environment.
