NBA Basketball School La Nucía has announced free tryouts for boys and girls born between 2009 and 2016 who would like to join its annual programme for the 2026/27 season. The sessions will take place on 10, 17 and 24 May at Pabellón Muixara, with schedules organised by year of birth and boys’ and girls’ training taking place simultaneously on two divided courts.
After completing the tryout, families will be able to apply for a place in the most suitable programme based on the assessment carried out by the coaching staff. Places are limited, and registration is already open through the official form.
The initiative is aimed at players who want to assess their level in a structured training environment and experience a genuine evaluation process. During the session, the coaching staff will assess areas such as individual technical ability, understanding of the game, physical capacity and coordination, as well as competitive attitude.
An Assessment in La Nucía to train better, compete and develop
The NBA Basketball School La Nucía initiative goes beyond a one-off tryout. The aim is to place each player in the programme that best suits their current level, within a methodology focused on technical, physical and mental development.
Following the NBA Basketball School philosophy, participants will train in an environment that prioritises improving fundamentals, decision-making, understanding of the game and individual progression. As the programme’s approach can be summarised: it is not only about training more, but about training better.
In addition, all boys and girls who attend the tryouts will receive a free kit for taking part.
The tryouts will be held on three dates: 10, 17 and 24 May, always at Pabellón Muixara in La Nucía. The schedules vary depending on the day and year of birth, with groups for players born in 2015-2016, 2014-2013, 2012-2011 and 2010-2009.
NBA Basketball School La Nucía offers two pathways within its annual programme: the Elite Programme, aimed at players seeking a more demanding environment, specific physical preparation and league competition in the Comunidad Valenciana; and the School Programme, designed for boys and girls who want to improve their level in a structured environment without official competition.
The tryouts are free, but the number of places available each day is limited. Once all places have been filled, no additional dates will be added.
