NBA Basketball School Spain has appointed José Antonio Sánchez as the new technical director of its project in La Nucía. His arrival represents a further step forward in the sporting and personal development of the boys and girls who will be part of the school.
José Antonio Sánchez, who was already in charge of the camps held this summer, has extensive experience in youth basketball, sports management and player development. He holds a degree in Sports Science, a Master’s Degree in High Performance Sport and the highest-level basketball coaching qualification in Spain. Throughout his career, he has worked in different roles as a coach, strength and conditioning coach and youth academy coordinator in projects such as Elche Basket and Fundación Lucentum, as well as in coach education.
In his new role, he will be one of those responsible for leading and developing the sporting methodology of NBA Basketball School La Nucía, with a particular focus on the development of players both on and off the court.
The appointment of José Antonio Sánchez therefore marks the beginning of a new stage for the NBA Basketball School Spain project in La Nucía, which continues to strengthen its technical structure ahead of its first year of annual programmes, with four options adapted to different ages and levels that will allow players to train and compete in the Comunidad Valenciana.
