NBA SCHOOL SPAIN PARTICIPATION AND CONDUCT RULES
Participants in NBA School Spain programmes must behave respectfully at all times towards the coaching and organisational staff, other participants, the sports facilities and the equipment used during the activities.
Participants agree to follow the instructions of the coaching staff, comply with the established schedules, maintain appropriate sporting conduct and respect the programme’s rules of coexistence.
Any violent or discriminatory behaviour, the consumption of alcohol, tobacco or prohibited substances, the improper use of facilities or sports equipment, and any conduct that may endanger the participant or others are strictly prohibited.
Any serious or repeated breach of these rules may result in disciplinary action by the organisation.
DISCIPLINARY POLICY AND RIGHT TO EXPEL PARTICIPANTS
NBA School Spain reserves the right to suspend or expel a participant when circumstances arise that affect the proper delivery of the programme or the safety of participants.
Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, aggressive or disrespectful behaviour, repeated failure to comply with programme rules, deliberate damage to facilities or equipment, or conduct that endangers the participant or third parties.
In the event of expulsion for disciplinary reasons, the participant must leave the programme and their legal guardians will be informed immediately. No refund of the amount paid will be provided in such cases.
The organisation may consider taking additional measures when necessary to ensure the proper operation of the programme.
RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS AND ACCOMMODATION RULES
In programmes that include a residential option, participants will stay in residential facilities managed directly by the organisation or by authorised partner organisations.
Participants using the residential option must comply with the accommodation and operational rules established by NBA School Spain and by the accommodation facility itself.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants and the proper delivery of the programme, residential students must pay particular attention to the following rules:
- Comply with the established schedules for rest, meals, activities and travel.
- Behave respectfully towards other participants, residential staff and coaching staff.
- Take care of the facilities, bedrooms and equipment made available to them.
- Maintain basic standards of order and cleanliness in bedrooms and communal areas.
- Respect the designated quiet hours to ensure that all participants are able to rest.
Leaving the residential facilities without the authorisation of the staff responsible is strictly prohibited, as is any behaviour that may disrupt communal living or endanger the participant or other students.
Any serious or repeated breach of the accommodation rules may result in disciplinary action, including expulsion from the programme under the terms established in these General Terms and Conditions, without entitlement to a refund of the amount paid.
If a residential student is expelled, their parents or legal guardians must arrange for the participant to be collected from the residence as soon as possible.
The organisation will provide supervisory staff during residential periods to ensure compliance with the rules, participant safety and the proper operation of the programme.
Participants may share a room with other students on the programme. The organisation reserves the right to assign or change rooms when necessary for organisational, disciplinary or coexistence-related reasons.
MEDICAL DECLARATION AND AUTHORISATION FOR MEDICAL CARE
By completing the registration, the participant’s parent or legal guardian declares that the minor is in suitable physical condition to take part in sporting activities and does not have any illness or limitation that would prevent their participation.
They also declare that they have informed the organisation of any relevant medical condition, allergy or treatment that must be taken into account during the programme.
If the participant requires medical attention during the activity, the legal guardian authorises NBA School Spain staff to take any measures necessary to safeguard the participant’s wellbeing, including administering first aid, obtaining medical assistance or arranging transport to a medical facility where necessary.
The organisation will inform the participant’s legal guardians as soon as possible if any medical incident occurs.
Any medical expenses not covered by the insurance policies taken out by the organisation will be borne by the participant or their legal guardians.
